Formulation:
Thiophanate-methyl 70% WP

Product Feature

Technical Requirements:

Apply at the early disease stage at 1–1.5 kg/ha diluted with water, max. 3 applications per season with a pre-harvest interval of 7–14 days depending on crop. Do not tank-mix with copper formulations or other alkaline pesticides; rotate with triazoles or azoxystrobin (different MoA) to manage widespread benzimidazole resistance—avoid consecutive single-active use in one season.

Product Performance

Thiophanate-methyl is a benzimidazole fungicide that converts to carbendazim inside plant tissues, providing both protective and systemic curative action with moderate upward translocation. It delivers strong control against Ascomycota, Deuteromycota, and Basidiomycota pathogens (e.g., wheat head blight, fruit tree ring rot, cucurbit/crucifer powdery mildew), but is ineffective against Oomycetes (downy mildew, blight). Low-toxicity and crop-safe (can be used at flowering and young-fruit stages), with a residual period of approx. 7–10 days.
